Ingredients

Elbow macaroni (or other small pasta shapes)

Whole milk

Freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Sharp white cheddar cheese

Crab meat (lump or claw)

Shallots

Butter

All-purpose flour

Salt and pepper

Panko breadcrumbs

Optional: Sweet chili sauce, Asiago cheese, scallions

Instructions

Cook Pasta: Boil the macaroni until al dente, drain, and set aside.

    Make Sauce: Sauté shallots in melted butter, whisk in flour to form a roux, and slowly add milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan and cheddar until melted. Season with salt and pepper.

      Add Crab and Pasta: Gently fold in crab meat and cooked pasta, mixing to coat evenly.

        Assemble: Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with panko mixed with melted butter.
